Eight young puppies were discovered abandoned in the bushes near a farm in Beaver County.

A local farmer noticed a vehicle repeatedly driving around his property for nearly 30 minutes. Shortly afterwards, the vehicle sped away. Feeling that something wasn't right, the farmer drove around his land to investigate.

That's when he found eight helpless puppies hidden in the bushes. They appeared to be only a few weeks old and had been left to fend for themselves.

The farmer contacted our shelter for help (before Maplelatte Animal Shelter Society was officially established), and we immediately stepped in to care for them.

​

The puppies were provided with food, fresh water, vaccinations, deworming treatments, and a safe place to grow. After several weeks of dedicated care and socialization, all eight puppies were healthy, thriving, and each one found a loving forever home.

Their rescue is a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can change lives forever.
