Rook was one of 11 puppies born to Bonnie and Jack on January 1, 2026. Due to a situation involving the puppies’ owners and local bylaw, all 11 puppies, along with their mother and father, came into our care in mid-January.

While their father stayed at our main shelter, Rook, his siblings, and their mother stayed together in a foster home where they could safely nurse and grow. They all grew up healthy and happy, and eventually, all 11 puppies found loving homes.

Thankfully, Rook was adopted together with his mother and they have been enjoying life in St. Albert.

Unfortunately, due to a recent family situation, Rook’s previous owner made the difficult decision to return him to our Society. She assured us that there was nothing wrong with Rook—he simply has a lot of energy, and because of the changes in her family, she is no longer able to give him the care and attention he needs.

As you can see from his happy face, Rook is a joyful and energetic boy who loves to play, run, and, most of all, be loved. He is now looking for a new family who can keep up with his energy and give him the loving home he deserves.
